Fused Glass Manufacturing

Fused glass is a term used to when two or more glass pieces are melted together at high temperatures to add depth, relief and shape. Traditional methods of fusing glass could commonly take an entire day for just one firing. Sinclair Glass has been able to accomplish continuous firings with our specialized equipment resulting in affordable production quantities of fused glass.

Typically fused glass limits the piece size to what will fit inside the kiln. Utilizing our production equipment, our only limitation is the size of the glass sheets available. This way, we are able to make large sheets or use our current molds to make functional bent pieces for various industries.

Like many of the art glasses, there are lots of options when choosing what glass to fuse together. Fusing glasses contain chemical properties that are compatible with each other just for this process. Contact us to see your options or families of glasses that are available.
